Individual Counseling

This form of therapy provides the opportunity to discuss and explore problems or feelings that are important to you.  The general aim of individual counseling is to work in a collaborative manner and help you grow toward greater freedom in making informed choices and acting on personal decisions which are satisfying to you.  In addition, individual therapy involves self-exploration leading to a better understanding of yourself, your emotions, and your problems to help bring about resolution and healing.

Tests and Assessments

Psychological, intelligence, and eating disorder assessments are available. In addition, Pain evaluations are offered. Please call for more information.

Safe Zone

Safe Zone seeks to form a network of students, faculty and staff committed and trained to provide safe, non-judgmental and supportive contacts for community members who may be dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or questioning issues.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. Insurance accepted includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Beech Street/Concentra, Medicare, Medicaid, Magellan, Aetna, PHCS, Amerigroup, Pearce & Pearce, Athens Area Health Plan Select, Wellcare, Corp Health, Tricare, APS, First Health, and more. When you call to schedule an appointment, we will take your insurance information and answer any questions you may have.
